<br />SWC:djg-c 4/11/84 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9557 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />APR 1 6 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR PERSONAL SERVICES (UMPIRE SERVICES - RECREATIONAL PRCX;RAMS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City conducts softball leagues as <br /> <br />part of its recreational program for the benefit of the citizens of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the operation of such softball leagues requires that <br /> <br />umpires be selected, trained and scheduled to officiate at such <br /> <br />softball ganes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City Urrpire' s Association has represented to <br /> <br />the City that it has the personnel qualified to perfonn the afore- <br /> <br />mentioned duties and responsibilities; and <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agreement <br /> <br />by and between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City Urrpire' s <br /> <br />Association for said association to furnish City with the aforesaid <br /> <br />skills and services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreerrent and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NCW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIDmD CITY, <br />AS FO:LI..a-VS: <br /> <br />That certain agreem:mt entitled "Agreement for Personal <br /> <br />Services" (fonn dated 4/11/84), by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and the Redwood City Urrpire' s Association, copies of which are <br /> <br />9557 <br />
