<br />DCB:rks 3/29/84 <br /> <br />ORlGINAl <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9543 <br /> <br />APR 2 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION VACATING PORTIONS OF PUBLIC STREETS (UPLAND ROAD <br />AND WHIPPLE AVENUE) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS <br />CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing <br /> <br />at ~8300) of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the <br /> <br />State of California, the Council of the City of Redwood City by <br /> <br />its Resolution No. 9538, adopted March 12, 1984, declared its <br /> <br />intention to vacate the hereinafter described portions of Upland <br /> <br />Road and Whipple Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the Streets and <br /> <br />Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate the described <br /> <br />portions of the abovementioned streets has been published and <br /> <br />posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the <br /> <br />hereinafter described portions of Upland Road and Whipple Avenue <br /> <br />are unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes and <br /> <br />hereby orders said portions of Upland Road and Whipple Avenue <br /> <br />subject to public service easement reservation be vacated. <br /> <br />2. The portions of Upland Road and Whipple Avenue vacated <br /> <br />are described on the plat attached hereto and incorporated herein <br /> <br />by reference, entitled "Plat Showing, Proposed Abandonment of <br /> <br />9543 <br />
