It can be anticipated that the General Plan effort may cause new issues
and policies to arise that will affect the Plan. The Planning Commission and City
Council may expee± some level of revisions to the DPP, most likely minor, to be
needed as a result of that process. Staff may also discover the need to make
revisions as our experience with implementation of the DPP matures. Aside from a
future need to "polish" the Plan a bit in the future, staff wishes to express that
implementation of the DPP will be done with great care and the requirements will be
fully enforced to ensure the highest quality future development within the core of the
City. The Downtown Precise Plan will prove to be amost-important implementation
tool for Redwood City and represents a crucial land use decision for this Planning
Commission and City Council. Staff acknowledges and appreciates the effort that
the Planning Commission has made throughout the Plan's development and review
process.
Tom Passanisi
Principal Planner
Jill Ekas
Planning Manager
Attachments
Note: No attachments are included as they are the same a#tachments which were
included in the March 12 Staff Report to the City Council
