5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR -CITY COUNCIL <br />Vince Truscelli announced that on Saturday, February 24 the American Legion will <br />host the 71St Outstanding Citizen Award Banquet and in his 38th year as Chair of the <br />event he hoped that some of the Council Members would attend. <br />Robert Hoffman, representing the Archives Committee of the Redwood City Public <br />Library history book project, stated that he is soliciting donations. Last October a flyer <br />seeking contributions was sent out to a large number of Redwood City residents. The <br />contributions received paid for the preliminary expenses. The next phase is the <br />process of getting book published and to buy books to be provided to local schools <br />and libraries. He thanked all who have responded to the request and stated the need <br />for more support. A donors list will be published and needs to be finalized very soon. <br />John (Michael) Rodriguez stated his uncle was the surveyor of the San Mateo Bridge <br />and that he has not been to Redwood City for about two years. He further stated his <br />sadness to see the town looking like a batman metropolis and the Sequoia High <br />School logo prominently displayed on a building on Broadway that has no relevance to <br />the school. <br />M/S Foust/Ira to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, <br />adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />6.1 Section -Motions - <br />A. Approve the Regular City Council meeting minutes of January 22, 2007 as <br />submitted. By motion, approve the appointment of: <br />• William Euphrat Municipal Finance, Inc. as financial advisor; <br />• Nossaman, Guthner, Knox & Elliot as bond counsel; <br />• Jones Hall as disclosure counsel. <br />2.
