Under the CEQA Guidelines (section 15064.5(b)(3)), generally, an individual projects adverse impacts on a historic resource can be mitigated to a less-than- significant level through appiican# compliance with either of the following standards: • Secretary of Interiors Standards for fhe Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring,. and Reconstructing Historic Buildings; or ^ Secretary of interior's Standards for Rehabilitation and Guidelines for Rehabffifating Historic 8uifdings. Successful incorporation of either of these standards would therefore reduce the potential impact to aless-than-signilrcant level. For any future discretionary acticm that would result in the demolition of a historic resource identified as described above, or otherwise cause the significance of the resource to be "materially impaired," and for which the Secretary of the fnterior's Standards identified above cannot be incorporated, the City shall require applicant implementation of one or more of the following four mitigation measures.
