EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The San Francisco Foundation Grant Purpose: <br />To support Redwood City Community Schools Parent Involvement & Leadership <br />program at Hoover school in the Redwood City School District. <br />I. Outcomes and Activities: <br />1. Parent's participation in educational opportunities at the schools will increase. <br />2. Parent's confidence in navigating the school system and acting as advocates for <br />their children will increase. <br />3. Parents will have a better understanding of the support services available in the <br />community school and how to access them. <br />4. Provide an array of educational opportunities for parents including English as a <br />Second Language course, computer classes, parenting education, and topical <br />workshops based on the interests of the parents. <br />5. Provide quarterly teacher- and school administrator-led informational meetings to <br />educate parents on school expectations and ways parents can help their children <br />succeed in school. <br />6. Provide monthly informal and social relationships-building opportunities between <br />parents and school staff. <br />7. Provide volunteer and leadership opportunities for parents interested in taking a <br />more active role in the community school. <br />8. Provide translation services at Parent-Teacher conferences, students discipline <br />meetings, Students Success Team meetings, Individualized Education Program <br />conferences, and any other parent-school meetings to assist both parents and <br />school staff when necessary. <br />Agreement over $10K 10 <br />City Attorney Approved Version 111803 <br />
