0 R I G I N A L 11/3/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13230 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR MFE SKILLS PROGRAM - YOUTH <br /> INTERVENTION <br /> <br /> (BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF THE PENINSULA) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula ("Contractor") <br />conducts a life skills program (youth intervention) for residents of the City of <br />Redwood City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and <br />ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to. allocate to Contractor, the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars <br />($10,000.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the <br />foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for Such funding has been <br /> presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br /> agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
