0 R I G I N A L 11/3/97 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13228 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br /> INSTALLATION OF FIBER OPTIC CABLING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published <br />for the purchase and installation of fiber optic cabling from City Hall to Fire <br />Station No. 9 and from Fire Station No. 9 to the Municipal Services Center and <br />Police Facility in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication, five bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Bass Telecom, Inc. of Stockton, California, is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br />bid of Bass Telecom, Inc.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Bass Telecom, Inc., in the total amount of Thirty-three <br /> Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-nine and 67/100 Dollars ($33,269.67) computed in <br /> accordance with said bidder's proposal dated September 22, 1997, is hereby <br /> accepted, and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br /> for said purchase and installation of fiber optic cabling. <br /> <br /> Reso-324 <br /> F/Shared/Redwood/Council <br /> DE$:djk <br /> 10/23/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
