TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (4.57 <br />AC)"; CALLING FOR SPECIAL ELECTION UPON SUCH QUESTION; <br />DESIGNATING AFFECTED TERRITORY WITHIN WHICH SUCH SPECIAL <br />ELECTION SHALL BE HELD; AND FIXING DATE OF ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9444, adopted September <br /> <br />19, 1983, this Council commenced proceedings for the annexation <br /> <br />of certain inhabited territory to the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />designated as "Annexation of Lands of Redwood Medical Clinic et <br /> <br />al. to the City of Redwood City (4.57 AC)" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed annexation was <br /> <br />held and closed on November 7, 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, written protests against the proposed annexation <br /> <br />were filed by registered voters within the inhabited territory <br /> <br />proposed to be annexed and by owners of land within said terri- <br /> <br />tory, and this Council did hear and receive oral objections and <br /> <br />evidence presented at the hearing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon conclusion of the hearing this Council has <br /> <br />determined the value of written protests filed and not withdrawn <br /> <br />as hereinafter set forth, and has further determined that the <br /> <br />value of written protests of registered voters requires that the <br /> <br />territory be annexed subject to confirmation on the question by <br /> <br />the voters residing within the affected territory; <br /> <br />9487 <br />
