ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13205 9/22/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ELECTING TO BECOME A VOTING MEMBER OF <br /> THE SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT/COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Airport/Community Roundtable ("Roundtable") was <br />established pursuant to Memorandum of Understanding entered into on or about <br />May 11, 1981, by and among the Airport Commission of the City and County of <br />San Francisco, the County of San Mateo, and nine cities located near the San <br />Francisco Airport, which Memorandum of Understanding has subsequently been <br />amended by Amendments No. 1 and 2. (collectively, the "MOU"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Roundtable is a Committee formed by the MOU to <br />develop joint action plans and to work cooperatively in resolving issues <br />concerning the San Francisco International Airport and its environs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the members of the Roundtable approved a Joint Action Plan <br />attached to the MOU and agreed to work cooperatively toward achievement of <br />the Joint Land Use Study and Objectives stated in that Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Roundtable acts on a continuing basis as a forum for <br />addressing issues involving the effect of further development and operations of <br />the San Francisco International Airport upon communities located in the vicinity <br />of the Airport and the San Francisco Peninsula, in general; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 to the MOU established a process by <br /> which communities in addition to those originally entering into the MOU may <br /> become voting members of the Roundtable; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to become a member of the Roundtable; <br /> <br /> <br />
