0 R I G I N A L 9/8/97 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE JAMES <br /> AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, DIRECTING RETURN <br /> OF BID SECURITY; APPROVING REVISED CONTRACT <br /> DOCUMENTS FOR SAID PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING AND <br /> DIRECTING READVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13114, adopted June 23, 1997, <br />this Council authorized advertisement for bids for the James Avenue <br />Reconstruction Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, seven (7) bids were <br />received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that said bids (including the <br />apparent lowest bid) either included irregularities or exceeded the amount <br />estimated for the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a result thereof, this Council desires to exercise its <br /> reserved right to reject all bids and to approve revised contract documents and <br /> direct readvertisement for bids for the Project; and reallocate Measure A Funds; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
