<br />SWC:rb 9/16/83 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9437 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 1 9 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDING AT 1605 MIDDLEFIELD <br />ROAD AS PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING RECONSTRUCTION <br />OR REMOVAL THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> <br />that the building which is located at 1605 Middlefield Road is a <br /> <br />public nuisance as defined by Section 9.6 of the Redwood City <br /> <br />Code because of serious and numerous violations of the Fire Code, <br /> <br />Uniform Building code, Uniform Housing Code, Uniform Plumbing <br /> <br />Code, and the Electrical Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building department has given notice as <br /> <br />evidenced by attached "Exhibit A" to the owner of the building at <br /> <br />1605 Middlefield Road to appear before this City Council to show <br /> <br />cause, if any he have, why such building should not be declared <br /> <br />to be a public nuisance and abated in accordance with the <br /> <br />provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that <br /> <br />many violations of the Fire Code, Uniform Building Code, Uniform <br /> <br />Housing Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, and the Electrical Code <br /> <br />exist in the building at 1605 Middlefield Road in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The building at 1605 Middlefield Road is hereby <br /> <br />determined to be a public nuisance because such building <br /> <br />constitutes a fire hazard and because such building endangers the <br /> <br />9437 <br />
