Chamber shall actively <br /> <br />pursue the accomplishment of the following goal, objectives, and <br /> <br />activities through the aforementioned program: <br /> <br />Goal: <br /> <br />To carry out an economic .development program for the promotion <br />and improve~ent of local business, industry and commerce. <br />Objectives: <br />(1) Schedule tour of local programs and developments. Organize an <br />annual seminar on Redwood City. <br />(2) Provide information on the availability of commercial real <br />estate. <br />(3) Conduct on-going program of assistance to new business <br />considering relocating to 'Redwood City. <br />(4) Publish a quarterly tabloid, "Redwood City Today," for general <br />public distribution with space available to the City for <br />inclusion of information on governmental and other civic <br />activities. <br />(5) Publish a 1983 Community Economic Profile. <br />(6) Develop a County-wide economic development publication with a <br />section devoted to Redwoo4 City for the recruitment of <br />personnel and new businesses to the area. <br />(7) Develop materials on starting a new business in Redwood City <br />and a shopping guide. <br />(8) Conduct bi-monthly Small Business Council Workshops. <br /> <br />2 <br />
