0 R I G I N A L 8/25/97 <br /> (08/25/97) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13179 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. is a private, non-profit <br />organization that provides lunch program for seniors, information and referral, <br />transportation, special programs, health screening, social events, Brown Bag Program, and <br />Thrift shop, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., has requested financial assistance <br />for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997 and <br />ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. to provide financial assistance in <br /> <br />furtherance of its public purposes; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/25/97), by and between the City of Redwood City <br />and Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. a copy of which agreement is on file in the office <br />of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
