0 R I G I N A L 8/25/97 <br /> (08/25/97) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13176 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties is a private, <br />non-profit organization that provides food to San Mateo County agencies and sites serving women <br />and children, the "working poor", families in transition, the elderly, and disabled on Iow fixed <br />incomes, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, has <br />requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1997 and ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties to provide <br /> <br />financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/25/97), by and between the City of Redwood City <br />and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties a copy of which agreement <br />is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full <br />padiculars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed <br />to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
