0 R I G I N A L o/25/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13156 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1997-1998 COST <br /> SHARED SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br /> DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13118, adopted June 30, 1997, <br /> the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1997-1998 Cost Shared Sidewalk <br /> Repair Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, nine bids were received for <br /> the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, S.J. Burkhardt, Inc. of Mira Loma, California is the lowest <br /> responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br /> bid to S.J. Burkhardt, Inc.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S.J. Burkhardt, Inc. in the amount of One Hundred Eighteen <br />Thousand Three Hundred Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($118,350.00), computed in <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated July 28, 1997 for the 1997-1998 Cost <br />Shared Sidewalk Repair Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement" (form dated 08/15/97) by <br />and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />California and S.J. Burkhardt, Inc., a copy of which agreement is on file in the <br /> <br />Reso-268 <br />DES:djk <br />08/15/97 <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br /> <br /> <br />
