O R I G I N A L 7/28/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13144 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE <br /> OF STREET FURNITURE FOR BROADWAY STREET <br /> <br /> (CANTERBURY INTERNATIONAL) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires benches and receptacles <br />which match existing furniture (the "Furniture~') for installation and use on <br />Broadway Street, Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City Code Section 2.76 provides that the <br />requirements of Article II of the Redwood City Code relating to the purchase of <br />materials, equipment, and supplies may be suspended where the Council finds <br />that strict compliance with the bidding process would not serve the public <br />interest and that the only materials, equipment, or supplies that are suitable are <br /> <br />of a unique nature and available from a single source only; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
