The <br />community includes a deep water port, two hospitals, a jail, wild land urban interface, 17 <br />elementary schools, two high schools, Tail ways, and two major highways. Redwood City <br />also serves as the County Seat for San Mateo County. <br /> <br />Accomplishments: <br />. EOP adoption <br />. EOC rebuild <br />. Communication enhancement <br />. Develop 2-year plan with budget requests <br /> <br />The department focus has been on day-to-day service throughout this process and <br />emergency response continues to be our number one priority. Being prepared for the <br />routine emergency will enhance our ability to respond to the major emergency or disaster. <br />We are helping other city departments attain a similar level of readiness by utilizing their <br />everyday work skills in the emergency response mode. This preparation has helped all <br />responders perform in a productive manner in a major emergency or disaster. The work <br />done up to this point has been to identify deficiencies. We are working, and will continue to <br />work, to rectify these issues.
