<br />7A <br />Page 22 <br /> <br />A. Buildinq inqress/eqress. No sign shall be located in a manner that would <br />obstruct ingress or egress from an exterior door, window or fire escape of a building or <br />where it could interfere with emergency or handicap access. <br /> <br />B. Roof. Unless otherwise expressly allowed by another provision of this <br />Article, no sign shall be mounted on a building roof or which otherwise projects above a <br />building wall, eave or parapet. <br /> <br />C. Interference with traffic safety. No sign shall be displayed or placed in a <br />manner which impedes the movement of vehicles or pedestrians, or interferes with an <br />official traffic sign, signal or device, or obstructs the visibility of motorists, bicyclists or <br />pedestrians; for example blocking or interfering with the visibility triangle. <br /> <br />D. ADA Requlations. Any sign whose installation would cause a violation of <br />the standards of the Americans With Disabilities Act. <br /> <br />DIVISION FIVE. EXEMPT SIGNS <br /> <br />Sec. 3.74. GENERAL APPLICATION: The signs described in this Division are <br />exempt from the permit requirement and do not count toward the total display area limit <br />which is otherwise applicable. However, the signs described in this division are still <br />subject to the applicable safety codes and to all other applicable Jaws. Such signs may <br />not block or interfere with the visibility triangle. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.75. ADDRESS SIGNS: Address signs that comply with the provisions of <br />this Article, provided that no numeral exceeds eighteen (18) inches in height. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.76. BUILDING IDENTIFICATION SIGNS: Maximum of one (1) building <br />identification sign per street-facing fagade. Maximum of two feet in height. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.77. CHANGES OF COPY ON READERBOARDS <br />Sec. 3.78. CONSTRUCTION SIGNS: <br /> <br />A. For lots less than one (1) acre in size, the maximum number: one sign per <br />lot frontage; maximum area: to thirty two (32) square feet; <br /> <br />B. For lots one (1) acre in size or more: one sign per lot frontage; maximum <br />area: to sixty-four (64) square feet; <br /> <br />C. For all construction signs: <br />· Maximum height: fifteen (15) feet. <br />· Permissible display time: beginning with the grant of a building permit and <br />ending with the earlier of notice of completion or certificate of occupancy <br />for the subject development, or their functional equivalent. <br /> <br />Atty/Ord/Ord.211 <br />032007 <br /> <br />20 <br />
