This figure shows
locations of both public (i.e., owned by the City or by otk►a public agencies) and private parldng lots and '
BBs in the survey area.
FxisBng Parkln8 S+MPlY/lnventory
The parldng supply (number of parlong spaces by facility type) in the survey area is sum:natized in Table
A10 and illustraud on Figure A3, A total of5,571 spaces are contained in the study area, including 1,240
onstreet spaces, 1,605 spaces in selec0ed private lots, and spaces in publicly-owned lots and garages
(1,052 city spaces and 1,674 other public agency spaces).
Table A10 Figare A3
Parking Spaces in Sarvey Area Parking Inventory
Number of
Location S aces ,;••,b S«
u%
Onstreet 1,240 Z '
Ci Lots/Gara es 1,052
Other Public A enc Lots/Gara es 1,674
Subtotal, All Publiclots I,726 sP.ca
Selected Private Lots 1,605 1
Total 5,571
«/G+rase
Spaca
Source: Fehr & Peers Associata, Inc. 30°
The parldng space numbers in the survey azea (tallied in Table A10 and Figure A3) are differrnt from the
parldng spaces included in the EIR analysis. The differrnces result from minor changes in the survey area
boundary, the changes to the pazldng supply discussed above, and the addition of the entire County park-
ing complex (adding 795 pazldng spaces in the garage and 145 spaces in other facilities, for a total of 940
additional spaces), and the school district lot (adding 55 pazldng spaces).
As noted above, however, this updated parldng analysis considers as available supply only those spaces
that are "controlled" by the city: the onsteet spaces and the spaces in the City-owned lots and garages.
Most of these spaces are available to the genecal public throughout the day. The spaces in the City's
employee parking lot (139 spaces) are available to the general public after 4:00 PM. The pennit parlang
spaces in the Mazshall Steet guage (285 spaces) and the spaces in front of City Hall (IS spaces) are
available afrer 6:00 PM.
The number of City-operated pazldng spaces available to the genera] public by rime of day is summarized
in Table Al l.
` Only the private lots shown on this figure, with the exception of 500 Arguello and UC Berkeley extension, were
surveyed. Pnvate lots not shown on the map were not included in the survey.
A15
