HOUSINGCONFERENCEfrompage1 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••�• The conference is designed for all local housing and redevelopment officials; housing professionals such as investors, lenders, realtors, labor, architects, planners and lav►ryers; advocates for smart growth, environmental justice and housing for the poor; builders of manufactured housing; and specialists in rural housing and development. It will be comprised of panels, individual speakers, exhibitors, and off-site tours. Along with learning about Proposition 46 funding, the panels will address state-of-the-art subjects ranging from in-fill/ mixed use strategies, to designing walkable, safe communities. Other panels include: Vansportation, housing and jobs; best practices in construction; financing homeownership with local and state resources; community acceptance strategies for homelessness to housing; resourceful "green" efficient housing; and, code enforcement strategies.
