COLLIER <br />ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Joe V. Collier, having well and ably served the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City for 14 years, is retiring on February 28, <br /> <br />1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in his position as Construction Inspector for the <br /> <br />Department of Public Works, Joe has consistently shown pride in <br /> <br />his work and a dedication to the job which has served as an <br /> <br />inspiration to other employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, over the years, Joe has dealt with both the public <br /> <br />and a varied assortment of weed abatement contractors on this <br /> <br />necessary, but trying task, and has been able to deal effectively <br /> <br />with both recalcitrant contractors and irate property owners in <br /> <br />accomplishing the objectives of this program to provide a face <br /> <br />lift for the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because of his many fine qualities, the employees <br /> <br />within SEIU Local 715 have honored him with a leadership position <br /> <br />in which he has worked diligently to improve the conditions of <br /> <br />his fellow workers; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />ORIGINAL FRAMED PARCHMENT COpy PRESE.rED TO MR.
