MINUTE ORDER <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY <br />April 23, 2007 <br />nnn m_nFR <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br />DATE: April 24, 2007 <br />Attention: City Attorney <br />Planning Department <br />SUBJECT: Amendment to Chapter 3 of the Municipal Code regulating <br />Advertising and Signs <br />AGENDA ITEM: 7A (304) <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on April 23, 2007. <br />Present: Council Members Aguirre, Bain, Hartnett, Howard, Ira, Vice Mayor Foust and <br />Mayor Pierce <br />Absent: None <br />The following motions were made, carried and entered on the Minutes <br />M/S Howard/Bain to <br />1. make the following findings: <br />(a) The 1999 inventory of non-conforming signs in Redwood City <br />has been updated and is confirmed as adequate and <br />complete for sign amortization purposes; <br />(b) The proposed amendments conform to the California <br />Environmental Quality Act; <br />(c) The amended ordinance will make Redwood City's sign <br />ordinance consistent with current law related to signage; <br />2. Rescind the existing sign ordinance (Chapter 3, Articles II "Signs" <br />and III "Motor Vehicle Fuel Price Signs," of the Municipal Code); <br />and, <br />3. Introduce the proposed new sign ordinance (Chapter 3, Articles II <br />"Signs" and III "Signs on Public Property," of the Municipal Code) <br />
