to pass through the entire pipeline section, the inspection shall be <br />considered complete and no additional inspection work will be required. <br />The CONTRACTOR shall be paid only the amount of lineal footage that <br />was inspected. <br />9. The CONTRACTOR shall provide digital database TV inspection reports via CD- <br />ROM media, printed TV inspection reports and MPEG-4 format color video of all <br />work completed. The Contractor shall use the custom digital database TV <br />inspection software WinCan Database System, version 7 or latest version. The <br />Contractor shall be proficient in using WinCan software. Additionally, the image <br />capture system will include provisions for capturing both motion video and audio. <br />In other words, the complete interface system will allow the operator to record <br />and store short video movies of the sewer defects and include verbal audio when <br />necessary. The operator(s) shall be Pipeline Assessment Certification Program <br />certified. The reports shall document the following conditions and any other <br />pertinent observations: <br />a. Cracks -radial and longitudinal, hairline or open; <br />b. Laterals (identify active or inactive, if possible) - quadrant location, <br />protruding, cracks, roots; <br />c. Corrosion - iron stains, roughened aggregate, exposed aggregate, <br />exposed rebar, or exposed soil; <br />d. Offsets/sags - 1-inch, 2-inch, 4-inch, etc.; <br />e. Roots -light, moderate, heavy, or matted roots; <br />f. Grease -light, moderate, or heavy; <br />g. Infiltration -water stains, dripping water, or stream of water; <br />h. Other -holes in pipe, missing tile; <br />10. All videos shall be of good quality MPEG-4 format and shall clearly show <br />the above stated conditions. The date, identification of sewer section by <br />upstream and downstream manhole locations, and footage shall be <br />displayed on the video data view at all times. <br />11. MPEG-4 videos and other data to be submitted must be submitted on <br />removable 200 gigabyte hard drive with both firewire and USB 2.0 <br />connectivity. If a video and/or the capture images in the database do not <br />clearly show the pipe conditions due to an inadequate amount of light or <br />are of such poor quality that the Engineer is unable to evaluate the <br />condition of the sewer or locate sewer service connections, the <br />CONTRACTOR shall re-televise that section of the pipe at <br />CONTRACTOR'S expense. <br />12. The CONTRACTOR shall submit an inspection report that includes a <br />figure that shows the location of the sewer, identifies the direction of flow, <br />and the direction of camera travel, street name, upstream & downstream <br />manhole location, date, length, size, pipe material, service connection <br />location, and all pipe defects. All printed N inspection report shall be <br />legible and dark enough to allow photocopies. <br />13. Deliverables shall include a copy of the inspection reports and the <br />inspection videos. <br />PAGE 3 OF 3 <br />
