Project Responsibilities <br /> 1. Construction Administration <br /> a. Provide administration and management services. <br /> b. Act as the point of contact with all parties. <br /> c. Receive all correspondence from the Contractor <br /> d. Establish, implement and maintain a system for tracking <br /> the construction project correspondence and documents <br /> using The Covello Microsoft Access Database System. <br /> e. Establish, implement and maintain a filing system for all <br /> construction project correspondence. <br /> f. Document all changes on the Construction Manager's <br /> conformed set of record drawings. <br /> 2. Meetings <br /> a. Prepare the agenda and facilitate the Preconstruction <br /> Meeting, weekly progress meetings and other construction <br /> meetings required during the Project. <br /> b. Prepare Record of Discussion and distribute weekly at the <br /> start of each weekly meeting. <br /> 3. Submittals <br /> a. Receive the submittals from the Contractor and review the <br /> submittals for general conformity with the Contract <br /> requirements. <br /> b. If obvious deficiencies are apparent in the submittal, send <br /> the submittal back to the Contractor for correction. <br /> c. Route the submittal to the Design Consultant (DC) for <br /> review and will route the reviewed submittal back to the <br /> Contractor. <br /> 4. Requests for Information (RFI) <br /> a. Receive all requests for information (RFIs)from the <br /> Contractor and determine if the request is a valid RFI; if <br /> not, Covello will return the RFI to the Contractor. <br /> b. Provide a response to the Contractor for any administrative <br /> and general RFIs. <br /> c. Route all other RFIs to the appropriate DC at their home <br /> office. <br /> d. Review the DC's response, verify acceptability of response <br /> and transmit the RFI response to the Contractor. <br /> 5. Clarification Letters (CL) <br /> a. Review the DC's clarification <br /> b. If appropriate, transmit the Clarification Letter to the <br /> Contractor. <br /> 6. Change Order Preparation, Negotiation & Processing <br /> a. Prepare and issue the change request to the Contractor <br /> with the appropriate design documents from the DC. <br /> b. Negotiate change orders with the Contractor. <br /> c. Prepare Contract Change Orders (CCO) for execution by <br /> the City of Redwood City and Contractor. <br /> February 7,2007 Page 1 of 3 <br />
