9A <br /> Page 16 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTfO�i APPROV[NG ANNUAL ACTION PLAN OF THE <br /> CONSOLIDATED PLAN (2005-2010� AND APPLICATION FOR <br /> FEDERAL ASSISTANCE �COMMUNfTY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br /> GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP �FlJNDS); <br /> CERTIFYING THAT THE C1TY HAS FOLLOWED 1TS ADOPTED <br /> CITIZEN PARTiCiPAT10N PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL <br /> YEAR 2007-2008) <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program authar9zed <br /> pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 974 (P.L. 93- <br /> 383), as amended ("the Act"), requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds develop <br /> a Consolidated Plan and provide for the issuance of grants in order to attain the <br /> objective of the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing <br /> and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principalfy for <br /> persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this Cauncil, an <br /> Annual Action Plan to the Consoiidated Plan (the "Action Plan") and an application to <br /> the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community <br /> Development Block Grant (the "Application") in the amount of approximately Seven <br /> Hundred Forty-four Thousand, Twa Hundred and Fifty One Doilars ($744,251) and <br /> HOME Investment Partnership funds in the amount of �our Hundred and Fifteen <br /> Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixty-nine Dollars ($415,769) far the period of July 1 , 2007 <br /> through June 30, 200$; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Planning Manager a Notice of <br /> Determination determining thafi the pr�posed Community Dev�lopment Black Grant <br /> ATTYIRESOIRES0.1703 <br /> 043007 <br /> 1 <br />
