7.2A <br /> Page 3 <br /> RESOLUTION NQ. <br /> RESOLUTEON APPROVtNG AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT CONTINUING <br /> ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CITY/COUNTY ASSOCIATION O� <br /> GOVERNMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo, and <br /> certain other Ciiies iocated in ihe Cour�ty af Sar� Mateo desire to continGe the <br /> estabiishment of a City/County r�ssociation of Governments for the purpose of <br /> preparing, adopting, monitoring and enforcing certain County-wide State <br /> mandated plans; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by #his Council an <br /> agreement pursuant to which the Ci�y/County Association of Governments <br /> heretofore established pursuant to the Joint Exercise of Powers Act (Govt. C_ <br /> §6500 et seq.) shall cantinue in existence. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement entitfed, "Joint Powers Agreement — Cantinuing <br /> Establishment of the City/Caunty Association of Governments," (form dated <br /> Revised: March, 2007) pursuant to which the City of Redwood City, the County <br /> of San Mateo, and other Cities within San Mateo County specified in said <br /> agreement shalf exercise jointly certain powers with respect to the preparation, <br /> adoption, monitoring and enforcemen# of cer�ain County-wide State manda#ed <br /> plans, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Cferk, to which <br /> copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br /> F:/Atty/Reso/Reso.1702 � <br /> 042307 <br />
