ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES - <br /> REDWOOD SHORES LEVEE SEGMENT III IMPROVEMENTS <br /> PROJECT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of <br /> <br />2001, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the <br />State of California, ("City"), and CCS PLANNING AND ENGINEERING, INC. of San <br />Ramon, California ("Consultant"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City requires the improvements of roadways and traffic systems at <br />various locations throughout the Redwood Shores area in the City of Redwood City (the <br />"Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires professional <br />consulting engineering services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Consultant represents that it possesses the experience, and is <br />qualified to perform the aforesaid services for the Project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. CONSULTANT'S SERVICES. Consultant shall perform consulting <br />engineering and related services described in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by <br />this reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> 2. COMPENSATION; EXPENSES: PAYMENT. City shall compensate <br />Consultant for all services performed by Consultant hereunder in an amount based upon <br />Consultant's hourly rates that are prevailing during the tirne of the performance of said <br />services.
