MINUTE ORDER <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />May 7, 2007 <br />MO. 07-074 <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br />DATE: May 8, 2007 <br />Attention: City Attorney <br />Human Resources Department <br />SUBJECT: Contract amendment between the City of Redwood City and the <br />California Public Employees Retirement System (CaIPERS) for the <br />Police Officers Association (POA) <br />AGENDA ITEM: 7.3A (904) <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on May 7, 2007. <br />Present: Council Members Aguirre, Bain, Hartnett, Howard, Ira, Vice Mayor Foust and <br />Mayor Pierce <br />Absent: None <br />The following motions were made, carried and entered on the Minutes <br />M/S Foust//Ira to introduce an ordinance to amend the contract with CaIPERS for <br />members of the Police Officers Association. <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF <br />ADMINISTRATION OF CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM <br />AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO PROVIDE <br />SECTION 21548 (PRE-RETIREMENT OPTIONAL SETTLEMENT 2 DEATH BENEFIT); <br />SECTION 20965 (CREDIT FOR UNUSED SICK LEAVE) SECTION 21574 (FOURTH <br />LEVEL OF 1959 SURVIVOR BENEFITS) FOR LOCAL POLICE MEMBERS <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by all those present. <br />Patricia Howe <br />City Clerk <br />
