9. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST - <br />A. Legislation (information only) — This sub - section involves possible discussion of <br />City position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 10 -2007 and 11 -2007. Council may direct staff to act <br />on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority <br />Focus available in City Clerk's Department). <br />B. Ad Hoc Charter Amendments Subcommittee <br />Council Member Howard stated that since there might be recommendations from <br />both Council and staff for Charter amendments, that it would be appropriate for <br />Mayor Pierce to appoint an ad hoc committee to review recommendations for <br />possible placement on the November 6, 2007. <br />Mayor Pierce stated she would appoint Vice Mayor Foust and Council Member <br />Howard to serve on a Charter Amendments ad hoc committee. <br />10. ADJOURNMENT — 12:20 a.m. <br />M/S Hartnett/Ira to adjourn to the next regular City Council meeting of April 9, 2007 in <br />memory of Philip D. Bray who died on February 17, 2007. He was a native of <br />Redwood City for 77 years, graduate of Sequoia High School, San Jose State, <br />physical education teacher, Coordinator of Child Welfare and Attendance, and <br />dedicated volunteer in the community. His father was a dedicated officer of Redwood <br />City. The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Patricia S.
