<br />ORIG1NAL <br /> <br />9204 <br /> <br />AUG 2 3 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF <br />(CHLORINATORS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is the owner of two manually <br /> <br />operated chlorinators; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such property is <br /> <br />not needed for present or prospective municipal or public purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to declare <br /> <br />said property surplus and authorize its sale in accordance with Section <br /> <br />3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds that the chlorinators are not now <br /> <br />needed for any municipal or public purposes and will not be needed for <br /> <br />any municipal or public purposes in the future, and hereby declares said <br /> <br />property to be surplus property. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise <br /> <br />such surplus property for sale to the general public in accordance with <br /> <br />Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. Said sale <br /> <br />shall be in accordance with the bid documents and the following terms: <br /> <br />(a) Sealed Bids, upon notice called therefor, shall be <br /> <br />received for said property until the date and time fixed by the City <br /> <br />Clerk and sent out in the Notice of Sale, and, at the time and date <br /> <br />fixed, City Manager shall open the bids received pursuant to <br /> <br />advertisement therefor, and determine the highest bid received for <br /> <br />said property; <br /> <br />9204 <br />
