<br />CGM:djr <br /> <br />8/4/82 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 9 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N o. 9 I 7 5 <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF TEN USED VEHICLES <br />WHEREAS, this Council has waived the procedure for <br />the solicitation of bids, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the <br />Redwood City Code for the purchase of ten used vehicles <br />(nine sedans and one van) due to the fact that purchases of <br />used vehicles must be made within a very brief time of an <br />offer of a vendor to sell a used vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has been advised that the Depart- <br />ment of Finance will thoroughly canvas all used vehicle <br />sources to obtain the lowest possible price for the purchase <br />of the above described vehicles; <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The purchase of ten used vehicles (nine sedans and one <br /> <br />van) is hereby authorized and the Department of Finance is <br /> <br /> <br />hereby directed to contact all available used car sources <br /> <br />so that the lowest possible price for such vehicles will <br /> <br /> <br />be obtained. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9175 <br />
