Council requested to be copied on the response. <br /> <br />Geri Mayers thanked the City Council for their support in disseminating flags showing <br />solidarity/patriotism following the September 11,2001 attack. Mayers also shared that people <br />donated money by buying more than 5,000 flags and this money was going to the victims of the <br />attack. Mayers thanked Paul Sanfilipo for his help. <br />Mayor Ruskin thanked Geri Mayers, the Peninsula Association Celebration, City staff, Dr. Jeff <br />Filipi, and especially Gary Hover and Charles Jany for placing a flag on the downtown <br />Redwood City arch. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be <br />enacted by one motion and one vote. Them will be no separate discussion of these items unless <br />a Council Member or Citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the <br />consent and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. <br /> <br />Item 7.1 It pulled from consent calendar by Mayor Ira Ruskin for discussion. <br /> <br />M/S Hartnett/Ira to waive the reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, <br />adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items with the exception of item <br />7.1 H.
