City, and Making Certain Findings with Respect Thereto ('South Shores') ," adopted May 24, 1982 by this Council. SECTION 3. The ballot measure hereinabove ordered to be submitted to the electors of the City of Redwood City shall, on the ballots and on the voting machines to be used at said special municipal election, appear as follows: REFERENDUM MEASURE Measure A: Shall Resolution No. 9131 of the Council of Redwood City amending the Redwood City General Plan pertaining to the South Shores Area be disapproved? SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby directed upon passage and adoption of this resolution to transmit a copy thereof to the City Attorney for the preparation of an impartial analysis of the ballot measure showing the effect thereof on existing law and the operation of the measure. SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby directed upon the passage and adoption of this resolution to cause a copy of the measure hereinabove referenced to be printed and to mail a copy of the measure with a sample ballot to each voter at least ten (10) days prior to the election. If the Clerk ascertains that the measure exceeds one thousand words in length, the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to mail to the voters a synopsis of the resolution in lieu of a copy thereof. The City Attorney lS hereby authorized and directed to prepare said synopsis. SECTION 6. The City Clerk or the County Clerk of the County of San Mateo, or such other appropriate election official, is hereby authorized and empowered to redesignate or change the letter designation of the measure hereinabove set forth for purposes of listing said measure on the ballot and on the voting machines to be used at the special municipal election to be held on said measure on November 2, 1982.
