<br />Monthly salary rates for Council appointees shall be <br /> <br />established and may be adjusted within the foregoing designated <br /> <br /> <br />salary ranges by motion of the City Council duly made and carried. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 4. The provisions of the foregoing sections of this <br /> <br /> <br />resolution to the contrary notwithstanding, if a position allocated <br /> <br />to a given class in the competitive service is re-allocated to a <br /> <br />different class in order to correct an error or to provide for a <br /> <br />change in duties or responsibilities of such position, and there <br /> <br />is no change in the incumbent of the position so re-allocated <br /> <br /> <br />and the maximum salary provided for the position as re-allocated <br /> <br />is less than the salary received by the incumbent prior to <br /> <br /> <br />re-allocation, then said incumbent shall continue to be compensated <br /> <br />at the rate paid said incumbent prior to such allocation. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. This resolution shall be effective upon its <br /> <br /> <br />adoption; provided however, that the provisions hereof shall be <br /> <br /> <br />operative retroactively to and including January 1, 1982 (as <br /> <br />reflected on all pay dates since January 1, 1982). <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />3 <br />
