<br />C( djg-c 6/22/82 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9149 <br /> <br />JUN 2 8 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF ONE USED VAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has waived the procedure for <br /> <br />the solicitation of bids, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the <br /> <br />Redwood City Code for the purchase of one used Van (for <br /> <br />aerial lift equipment purposes) due to the fact that <br /> <br />purchase of used vehicles must be made within a very brief <br /> <br />time of an offer of a vendor to sell a used vehicle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has been advised that the Depart- <br /> <br />ment of Finance will thoroughly canvaffiall used vehicle <br /> <br />sources to obtain the lowest possible price for the purchase <br /> <br />of the above described vehicle; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The purchase of one used van (for aerial lift equipment <br /> <br />purposes)is hereby authorized and the Department of Finance is <br /> <br />hereby directed to contact all available used vehicle sources <br /> <br />so that the lowest possible price for such vehicle will be <br /> <br />obtained. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9149 <br />
