6.1 C <br /> REPURT Page 1 <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the Cit Mana er <br /> May 21, 2007 <br /> Sus,�ECr <br /> Oisposat of Surpius Property <br /> RECOMMEPiDA'TfOt3 <br /> , Authorize by motion the deciaring of vehicles and equipment on the attached list surplus <br /> and authorize staff to selt the items per City procedure. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Public Works Services Department, in coordinatian with the Finance Department, <br /> acts as the centralized collection and storage point for City personal property, either <br /> worn out and /or surplus, from various City dspartments. <br /> Gavernment Code Section 37351 and Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of <br /> Redwood City as amencied, permits the sale of any City personal propeety having an <br /> appraised value of five thousand doilars or less without public notice or public bid #or <br /> any reasonable amount, irrespective of its appraised value.
