Page 1 <br /> To the Honorabie Mayor and City Counci'I. <br /> From the Ci�y Manager <br /> May 21, 2007 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> Amend the language in the proposed agreement with The Kastrop Group, Inc. to <br /> provide consulting services for the renovation of the Main Library's second floor and <br /> refurbishment of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning {HVAC} system. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize, by motion, the City Manager to make modification to and execute a standard <br /> Professional Consulting agreement with The Kastrop Group, Inc. <br /> BAGKGROUND <br /> On February 12, 2007, the Council autharized the Ciijr Manager to execute an <br /> agreement with The Kastrop Group, Inc., not to exceed $&6,500.00, to provide design <br /> and engineering consulting services, and construction documents for renovation of the <br /> second floor and refurbishment of exisfiing HVAC system at the Main Library. <br /> Subsequently, the consu!#ant reviewed the City's standard professional consultant <br /> agreement and could not agree to the "ownership of documents" and "copy right" <br /> provisions of the agreement. The consultant requested some minor modifications to <br /> those clauses of the agreement which the City At#orney's Office adminis#ereci.
