It is therefore <br />aesthetically superior to a substantial portion of existing <br />bay shore development along State Highway 101 in the vicinity <br />of, but outside the corporate limits and jurisdiction of the <br />City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />(5) Approval of the Project will provide a reasonable <br />balance between the exercise of private property rights by the <br />landowner, and the interests of the public in mitigating the <br />effect upon the environment of the exercise of such rights. <br />The Project responds to other equally important or more <br />compelling public interests (viz., the social and economic <br />considerations above mentioned). <br /> <br />2. In consideration of the foregoing findings this Council <br /> <br />hereby concludes and declares that the proposed General Plan <br /> <br />Amendment should be approved. <br /> <br />3.
