(.jl:djg-c CGM:djg-c 3/31/82 4/0l/82R RES 0 L UTI 0 N !'i .Q. 9 090 ORIGINAL APR 5 1982 RESOLUTION APPROVING OF ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATED ANNEXATION OF LANDS OF POWERS TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (.61 + ACRES) PURSUANT TO THE DISTRICT REORGANIZATION ACT-OF 1965 WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo (LAFCO) adopted its Resolution No. 647 on December 16, 1981, making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the City of Redwood City of the territory described in "Exhibit A" hereof attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings with respect to said annexation were initially commenced upon petition of Harold F. Powers; and WHEREAS, the distinctive short form designation assigned by LAFCO to the territory proposed to be annexed is "81-15 -- Proposed Annexation of Lands of Powers to the City of Redwood City (.61 + acres)" and; WHEREAS, LAFCO has determined that the territory proposed to be annexed, is uninhabited and that annexation by the City of Redwood City may be undertaken without notice and hearing and without an election pursuant to Section 56261 of the Govern- ment Code; and WHEREAS, the reason for the proposed annexation, as set forth in the proposal thereof submitted to LAFCO, is to allow for a more economically feasible development of a rental office/ cornrnerical building in relationship to parking requirements; NOW THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, 9090 " -,_.".__..~-_.-.....~"-,.__..~<---^_.,---"~~~._~....-------_,",_~,~---_,~,,,~'-"-"~~-'-"'---'--- ,"
