RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF <br /> CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR MAINTENANCE OF NEW <br /> BICYCLE PATH ADJACENT TO HIGHWAY 101, WHIPPLE AVENUE ON RAMP TO SKY <br /> WAY FRONTAGE ROAD; <br /> <br /> Council Member Jordan stated that this she would like this item to be continued to another <br /> meeting so that the City can obtain more information on altemative connections for <br /> Redwood Shores to Whipple Avenue. One altemative is a bridge going fi.om the Redwood <br /> Shores levee trail to inner Bait Island. She stated her concern for the potential access loss <br /> to the public and that the Bay Trail connection to Bair Island fi.om Redwood Shores <br /> directly would help in that regard. She stated the proposed bicycle trail along the highway <br /> would actually be bordering the auxiliary lanes consisting of two cement walls with <br /> fencing.
