6.2B <br />Page 1 <br />June 4, 2007 <br />SUBJECT <br />City Clerk compensation adjustment <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adjust the salary of the position of City Clerk <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Clerk's anniversary for compensation adjustment is April of each year. The last <br />compensation ad~ustmeot for the City Clerk occurred in April 2006. <br />In April 2007, a salary survey of comparable cities was conducted. As a result of that <br />survey, we are recommending that the City Clerk's base salary be increased by five <br />percent (5%). If approved, the City Clerk's base monthly salary will increase from $9,270 <br />to $9,734 per month effective Apri12, 2007. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The following are alternatives to the recommendation: <br />1. Not grant a salary increase at this time; <br />2. Grant a lower salary increase at this time; <br />3.
