ORDINANCE 2309 AMENDING ARTICLE ONE, TWO AND THREE OF CHAPTER 3 OF THE REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE ADVERTISING AND SIGNS AND SIGNS ON PUBLIC PROPERTY (First Reading -April 23, 2007) M/S Ira/Aguirre to adopt the ordinance. The motion passed by a majority roll call vote with Vice Mayor Foust voting no. 8. COMMITTEE REPORTS - A. Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) 2007/2008 Funding Recommendations for the Human Services Financial Assistance (HSFA) Program HHCC Chair Bondonno explained the process used to prepare the recommendations. Melissa Lukin, Executive Director of CORA, thanked Council for the support on behalf of the clients, Board and staff. She stated that approximately 8,000 calls are handled a year on the hotline and that they know the decisions are difficult. Tippy Irwin thanked the Committee and Council for the support of the Ombudsman services. Recommendation: Direct staff to incorporate the Housing and Human Concerns Committee's recommendations for HSFA for FY 07-08 into the FY 07-08 budget to be presented for review by Council in June. HSFA recommendations are being presented this evening as a part of the overall Annual Action Plan for the City's use of HUD funds. The Council will take no action at this time.
