9. ADJOURNMENT - 8:25 p.m. <br />M/S Foust/Hartnett to adjourn in memory of George Avos, former Redwood City Fire <br />Marshall in Redwood City for 32 years, who passed away in May at the age of 81. She <br />extended the Council's sympathies to his family, friends and the people of the <br />community. The adjournment is also in memory of Richard (Dick) Ponty, father of <br />Finance Director Brian Ponty. Dick Ponty was a lifelong resident of San Mateo, a 50- <br />year member of St. Gregory's parish, who gave countless hours to those in need. <br />Thoughts are with the family at this time. Adjournment to the next City Council meeting <br />of June 4, 2007. The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Patricia S.
