6.1 C Page 10 463 Brewster Street Suite 4 Redwood City, Ca. 94053 Revised Event Plan 2007 Annual July 4tn Independence Day Celebration The Peninsula Celebration Association (PCA} requests a Special Events Permit to conduct our b9~' annual independence Day Celebration in Redwood City on Wednesday, July 4, 2007. The PCA will sponsor the following events: 1. The Invitational Parade 2. The Arts & Crafts Festival 3. The Fireworks Display at the Port of Redwood City. The following organizations will sponsor and conduct separate events as part of the overall July 4~' Celebration activities: 4. Redwood City Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Fun Run along the parade route before the parade 5. Let's Tallc Events will hold a car show on Broadway, between Jefferson and Main. 1. The invitational Parade The parade will begin at 10:00 AM. A cannon shot at the intersection of Veterans Blvd and Middlefield Road will announce the start of the parade. The parade may include decorated floats, marching bands, drill teams, vintage and/or municipal vehicles, equestrian units, civic officials, invited guests, participating sponsors, and other entries as approved by the PCA. The parade organizers may, at their discretion, limit the entries in any category. The Parade Route will be defined as starting at Winslow St. and Brewster Ave. proceeding to Veterans Blvd., turning right into the South bound lanes of Veterans blvd. to Main St., turning right onto Main St. to Marshall St., proceeding on Marshall St. to Arguello St., turning right onto Arguello St. and terminating at Alden Street. The Parade Lineup Area is defined by the following streets: Arguello St. from Whipple Ave. to Brewster Ave. Warren St. from Whipple Ave. to Marshall St. Allerton St. from Whipple Ave. to Winslow St. Winslow St. from Howland St. to Marshall St..
