MINUTE ORDER 02-45 <br /> <br /> 8.1 B. Council Member Hartnett reported that the Miss Redwood City Pageant occurred at the <br /> Fox Theatre on February 10. It was a resounding success with over 400 people in <br /> attendance and the young women participating in the pageant were extremely talented <br /> and represented themselves very well. Their dedication to presenting themselves and <br /> their talents in a very professional manner provided a sense of confidence and optimism <br /> in the youth of the community. The accomplished young women were representative of <br /> Stanford, Santa Clara University and other colleges from the area. <br /> <br /> 8.1 C. Council iMembcr Howard reminded Council of the letter from Silicon Valley <br /> Manufacturing Group inviting Council to the Annual Advocacy trip to Sacramento on <br /> April 2 and 3, 2002. The purpose is to meet with key members of the State Assembly <br /> and Senate. She stated that discussion could occur amongst Council on potential issues <br /> of discussion. <br /> <br /> 8.1 D. Council Member Pierce gave a last reminder of the Redwood City Education <br /> Foundation Jukebox Friday event to be held on February 22 from 6-9 p.m. at the Old <br /> County Courthouse. The Foundation raises funds to allow a music program in the <br /> public schools. <br /> <br /> 8.1 E. Mayor Claire announced the vandalism at Temple Beth Jacob involving a swastika <br /> symbol. <br /> <br />9. STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br /> A. Revocable license agreement allowing Dasaro's restaurant/caf6 to use a portion of <br /> City Hall Plaza, a public space, for outdoor seating, tables and limited related <br /> improvements; (604) <br /> <br /> Principal Planner Jany stated the item before Council is a permit to allow Desaro's to <br /> install and use tables, chairs and umbrellas in a portion of City Hall Plaza.
