6,2A <br /> Page 3 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> R��0�6lT�ON UF THE COUNCIL UF THE GITY UF RE�WOOD CiTY <br /> ACTlNG AS THE LECISI.ATIVE BODY OF THE COMMUNtTY <br /> FACILIT�ES D1STRtCT Nfl. �9-1 AUTHORl�lNG THE �►NNIiAt LEVY <br /> OF SPECIAl.TAX FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007120Q8 <br /> RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California (#he "City <br /> Council"}, acting as the Legislative Body of the Community Facilities District No. 99-1 <br /> (the "l.egislative Body") as follows: <br /> WH�R€AS, the Gi#y Gcwncil has cond�c#ed proceedings urader and pursuan# #o <br /> the Me#lo-Roos Commu�ity �acilities Act of 1982, as amended {the "Act"), to form the <br /> City of Redwood �ity �ommunity Faciiities District No. 99-1 (�hores Transportafinn <br /> Improvement Project} (the "District"), to authorize the levy of special taxes upon the land <br /> within the District, and to issue bonds securad by said specia( taxes to �inance certain <br /> facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Legis(ative Body has, pursuant to Ordinance No. 2180, enacted <br /> on August 23, 1999 (the "Ordinance"}, as authorized by section 533�40 of the California <br /> Governmen# Code, autlac�-ized the �evy of a special tax tfl pay #flr costs and expenses <br /> related to #he [7istrict, and the Legisfative Body desires to estabiish the specific rate of <br /> the speciai tax to be coltected for the ne�fisc�l year. <br /> NDW, TH�REFORE, it is hereby determined and ordered as follows. <br /> 1. The above recitals are all true and correct. <br /> 2. The specific rate and amount of the speciat tax to be collected to pay for <br /> costs and expenses for Fiscal Year�007l2008 for#h� Di�trict i� h�r�by de#ermined and <br /> established as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated by reference. <br /> 3. The ra#e determined and as set forth above does not exceed the amount <br /> as previousiy authorized by the �rdinanc� and is not in �x��ss of that �mount <br /> previausly appraved by the qualified elector of the District, and is in accordance with <br /> Proposition 218, Section X{11D ofi the Califiomia �tate Constitution. <br /> 4.
