0 R I G I N A L 4/21/97 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13049 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE <br /> OF FURNITURE FOR REDWOOD CITY CITY HALL. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Redwood City requires specialized furniture which <br />conforms to the Americans with Disabilities Act and meets other specialized <br />requirements (the "Furniture") for installation and use at the Redwood City City Hall <br />located at 1017 Middlefield Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City Code Section 2.76 of Article II of the Redwood City <br />Code relating to the purchase of materials, equipment and supplies provides that the <br />bidding requirements of Article II of the Redwood City Code may be suspended where the <br />Council finds that the only materials, equipment or supplies that are suitable are of a <br /> <br />unique nature and available from a single source only. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City, this Council hereby finds: <br /> <br /> (a) strict compliance with Article il of the Redwood City Code would not serve <br /> <br /> the public interest. <br /> <br /> (b) the furniture which is suitable is of a unique nature and available from a <br /> <br /> single source only. <br /> <br /> (c) the Furniture proposed to be purchased substantially conforms to the <br /> <br /> specifications established therefor by the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
