0 R I G I N A L 4/7/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13041 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE <br /> OF FURNITURE FOR REDWOOD CITY CITY HALL. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Redwood City requires specialized fumiture which <br />conforms to the Americans with Disabilities Act and meets other specialized <br />requirements (the "Furniture") for installation and use at the Redwood City City Hall <br />located at 1017 Middlefield Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Redwood City Code Section 2.76 the requirements of <br />Article II of the Redwood City Code relating to the purchase of materials, equipment and <br />supplies may be suspended where the Council finds that the only materials, equipment <br />or supplies that are suitable are of a unique nature and available from a single source <br />only. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City, this Council hereby finds: <br /> <br /> (a) strict compliance with Article II of the Redwood City Code would not serve <br /> <br /> the public interest. <br /> <br /> (b) the furniture which is suitable is of a unique nature and available from a <br /> <br /> single source only. <br /> <br /> (c) the Furniture proposed to be purchased substantially conforms to the <br /> <br /> specifications established therefor by the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
