<br />6.2A <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Oouncil <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />June 25, 2007 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />Final Acceptance - California Marina Subdivision <br /> <br />RecOMMENDATION <br />Accept, by motion, the construction improvements for California Marina Subdivision, <br />and release the bonds following the City's receipt of a one-year warranty bond in the <br />amount of $111,000.00 in accordance with the Subdivision Agreement, Paragraph 9. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 18, 1998, the City Council approved the Agreement for construction <br />improvements for the California Marina Subdivision (46-unit condominium project on <br />Bair Island Road). The City approved permits for the California Marina Subdivision <br />required the developer to make street improvements (street lighting, landscaping, ~nd <br />related irrigation) and levee improvements. <br /> <br />The developer, KB Land of Pleasanton, had outstanding warranty issues which have <br />now been resolved. The construction of improvements have been completed in <br />accordance with the Agreement, the plans and specifications, and to the satisfaction of <br />Engineering & Construction Services. <br /> <br />The developer provided a faithful performance bond and a labor and material bond, <br />each in the amount of $1,110,000.00, which can be released following the City's receipt <br />of a warranty bond in the amount of $111,000.00 <br /> <br />Al TI!~NA Tlves <br />Council may elect not to accept the construction improvements which would be contrary <br />to the provisions in the existing Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />struction <br /> <br />Peter Ingram <br />Director, Community D <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />None <br /> <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS IN CITY CLERK'S OFFICE <br />None <br />
